What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
Search Engine Optimization is all about getting your website higher up in the search results on search engines such as Google. The higher up the results you are, the more traffic (and customers) you’re likely to get. There are many aspects that go into achieving good SEO, and one of the most important is the copy (words) on your website. Focus on well written, keyword rich, and appropriate content is the key.
Can you provide SEO for my site?
I focus on what I’m good at — branding and websites. For SEO services, I can give you recommendations on the best local people to help you.
What is a domain name?
A domain name is your name address on the internet. If we compare it to a brick-and-mortar store, it would be like registering the name of your store. For example, Whole Foods. A domain name would be something like www.wholefoods.com
What is web hosting?
Web hosting is where your website (and possibly email) lives. If we compare it to our example above, web hosting would be the land on which you walk or drive while shopping at that Whole Foods store. You see, Whole Foods would need to pay to register the name of their store (domain name) and also pay for the real estate to set up their store (web hosting). Web hosting is essentially a computer that houses your website and email data for users to access.
