You need the file, the fax number, and your computer. No need for fax machine or direct phone connection. 🙂
What to do:
1. Open the fax application.
You may need to search for FAX90 Client on your computer. Click to open it.
This very small window will appear. Keep it handy for later.
2. Open the file.
The file can be a PDF, Word Doc, or anything that you can print.
Note: If you have multiple files, each file needs to be faxed separately, so do one file at a time.
3. Open File > Print…
Once you have your document open, go to File in the top toolbar, and click Print…
(Or, command+P on a MAC.)
4. Change Printer to Fax.
In the Print modal window that pops up, change the Printer to FAX_SERVER
Click the blue button Print.
5. Click the FAX90 application and wait.
After you print to the FAX_SERVER, click the FAX90 Client again to bring it to the foreground of your desktop. You may click on the app icon or small window. You’ll know it’s in the foreground if the FAX90 Client title is not greyed out.
You may need to wait about 10 seconds for a 2nd small window to appear.
Note: if you don’t have the FAX90 Client selected and brought to the foreground of your desktop, the second window will never appear.
6. Enter the fax number and Send Fax.
Copy and paste the fax number of the person you wish to send the fax to.
Click Send Fax.
