If you have a login with “admin” as your user name, that can be a security risk, because attackers often start with that username as it is so common.
But you cannot change usernames after they are created.
What I discovered is, you can create a new user with Administrator privileges, and then delete the Admin with the ‘admin’ username.
Here’s how to do that:
- Add new user, choose a username you want. Make sure to give admin access, and you need at least one user with admin privileges!
- Logout and log back in under the new user.
- Delete user with ‘admin’ username.
